Living with Candida

Living with Candida may seem like the end of the world, but because of doTERRA I’m learning to live and be healthy because of it. I didn’t know I had Candida until recently, but all my symptoms made sense after finding out what really was going on with my body.
I started by using the LLVP and then experimented with using Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint for allergies. I used DigestZen for my tummy issues and was still having problems, like a constant itch in my ears. I ran into Dr. Susan Lawton at East Coast Training and she finally hit on what my problem really was: Candida. She suggested using PB Assist and it helped somewhat, but I knew I had to do a cleanse. After a round of GX Assist, I felt better, but because I hadn’t really followed the diet the effectiveness was lessened. Advised by others, I took the plunge and dumped the sugar, yeast, bread, etc. What a change! I no longer have tummy issues and though the detox has its own side effects, like muscle aches, I feel so much better. I use different combinations of oils, like lemongrass, peppermint, rosemary and oregano, to help with the aching muscles that won’t respond to Deep Blue.
The diet was harder. I lost my sugar fix! Even though I still eat plenty, I do like a treat now and then. I found a great candy recipe I’d love to share:
1 cup carob chips
3 drops Wild Orange essential oil
Melt the carob chips in a pan. When completely melted, remove from heat and add the Wild Orange. The chips cool quickly, so if your mixture hardens, place it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stir and add the oil.
Smooth into a small container and freeze. Enjoy the amazing combo of orange and chocolate!
You can customize this in many ways: try peppermint or lemon. It was so good, I licked the spoon clean!

I’m still on the diet, getting better and stronger every day–thanks to doTERRA!
